Hobbies and Interest
When I am not playing, coaching or officiating sports I enjoy sailing for SALTS (Sailing and Life Training), leading my school body and serving my community. My long term goals are to play soccer at a professional level then move into a sports related medical field to "pay it forward" and help other athletes achieve their life dreams. | ||

COACHES TESTIMONIALS
COACHES TESTIMONIALS "Amanda Volk is one of the most dedicated keepers I have had the privilege of coaching. Her commitment, skill, tremendous work ethic, attention to detail and technique embody every attritbute a goalkeeper and teammate should have. Amanda is a strong leader on and off the field and will greatly add to the depth of any team she is a member of." ___________________________________________________________________________________ Amanda is a key member of our Metro team in Victoria which currently is top spot in BC. Amanda has a great work ethic and is a quick learn on tactical and technical issues. She continues to improve physically with her agility and mobility as well as her ball skills. I am excited for Amanda and her future- she will be an asset to team she moves to as a player and more importantly as a genuine team player.
__________________________________________________________________________________ I am writing this to introduce Amanda Volk and highly recommend her as a candidate for your soccer program
During the 6 years I have coached Amanda on the Prospect Lake Soccer Team, she has continually demonstrated a high level of commitment and ability. Amanda proved instrumental in helping us win 2 consecutive District Championships. She availed herself on many practice opportunities, such as working with Island Keeper for the past year. She played for the USL U15 West Coast Capitals and filled in on the U16 team while their goalie was injured; both teams went on to win the division and attend the Super Y Finals in Florida.
Amanda is gaining accolades around this district. Presently, she is playing with the U18 metro team and is sought after by Premier women’s teams. To her credit, she maintains a very high academic standing at school, as well as being one of the most coachable and delightful young ladies I’ve had the privilege to know. In her capacity as a keeper, Amanda shows strong leadership skills and tremendous potential, definitely a valuable asset for any program.
As an enthusiastic, positive individual, she is committed in her goal keeping approach and is well liked by her peers. More importantly, she is always looking for ways to improve as she has set a high standard with her personal goals: school, goal keeping and building strong relationships with friends.
Amanda is an exceptional young lady. She continues to impress me with her kindness, patience and diligence. It is because of these qualities she displays that I have no hesitation in strongly recommending her for admission into any program.
If you have any questions or require additional information please don’t hesitate to contact me at home at 250-727-3851 or work at 250-370-6856.

Amanda Volk is a very hard-working, determined and solid goalkeeper. She has a had a late start in receiving goalkeeper training, but in the year that I have worked with her, she has shown tremendous improvement! She has excellent reactions, and her overall level of shot-stopping is very good. One of her biggest strengths, if not the biggest, is her handling. Amanda's handling of direct strikes, as well as when diving, is very consistent and of a high level. She is very brave, and shows nothing but aggression and determination to win the ball in 1v1 situations. Amanda's dealings with strikes to the upper 3rd of the goal, in terms of agility and timing, are much improved. The same can be said of her dealings with crosses and her distribution of the ball. I believe that if she continues to train, and improve, like she has for the past year, Amanda can achieve her goal of playing at the university level. rpstankov@shaw.ca or 250-213-8324 Bob Stankov
